Patteson and Alice Branch of PAC Sweets

Our story

Patteson and Alice Branch have made thousands of custom cakes, cookies, and cinnamon rolls since 2020.

After creating a four-layer cake to pass time during COVID-19 lockdown, we became obsessed with testing recipes and teaching ourselves how to bake. PAC Sweets was born that summer from small orders from neighbors and family members. As middle schoolers, we created a small menu and posted flyers around the neighborhood to get orders.

Two years later, an OREO cake order for a school group shifted our focus. Positive reviews of this cake quickly turned into 10+ custom cakes each week.

We both continued pursuing PAC Sweets through high school, baking late after classes and on the weekends. Over four years we made 500+ cakes and thousands of other desserts for weddings, birthdays, graduations, and other events. We’ve also had opportunities to collaborate with dozens of local businesses and be featured by both CBS News and Richmond Magazine.

In May of 2026, we started a new phase of the business: cinnamon rolls! After developing four flavors, we became vendors at the RVA BIG Market and sold out on a weekly basis. We baked over 2,500 rolls and doubled our online audience, reaching thousands of new customers.

This fall, we’re continuing to do local pickups in Virginia for cinnamon rolls and cakes. Follow us on Instagram and TikTok to stay up-to-date on all things PAC Sweets.

We can't overstate our love for this work, the amazing customers we get to share it with, and everything else that goes into running a business. Thank you for your support!
